Inspired by natural and man-made landscape, this album explores 'synthesis' of acoustic instruments and percussion starting with Eurorack and Serge Modular synthesisers and processed via a Zone DB4 interface into Ableton Live for further mixing and manipulation.
Strings and plucked sounds are synthetic rather then sampled. Percussion is both synthersised and sampled.
Time signatures are variously straight, off-kilter and occasionally shredded and granular.
Tones and textures are layered.
Sequencers and random are employed - accidents happen.
